| A lot of this is uphill, rough terrain
in places.
From the pub ride down to the river and along to
the stone bridge by the horse fields. Over the bridge and follow
the track up beside the stone wall until eventually you will
come out at the Trundle car park at Good wood.
From here you can continue up to the top
of Trundle. (Amazing views)
Depending now how far you wish to ride:
There is a road which runs along the back
of the racecourse which you can follow until the East Dean
turnoff left. Down to East Dean village. ( Right by the pond
to pub - Star and Garter) Left y the pond brings you back
along to Charlton ( Pub-Fox goes Free) and then road continues
to A286 which will bring you back to West Dean.
For a longer rode you can carry left on
past the East Dean turning to a T-junction where you will
then turn left, on to the A285. Left again will bring you
back to East Dean the long way, this is a very narrow bendy
road.
